Bevimble's
Story

Bevimble offers a social group each weekend where young people with a disability are able to socialise with their peers and go on fun adventures under the support and guidance of young, careful and fun support workers, Vismi and Blake.

Prior to Bevimble, Blake started providing disability support in year 11 (2021) to his godmother's daughter, Eloise, who has Williams Syndrome. After taking her to a few birthday parties, he saw the complete joy of all her peers at these events. However, he was sad that her peers only saw each other outside of school a few times each year, so he decided to start hosting social groups. These social groups have been running for nearly five years!

Whilst the initial plan was for young NDIS participants to socialise outside of school, the additional benefit is that participants have the chance to see their school peers each weekend after they graduate.

Vismi and Blake met at Bond University in 2023. Trying to spend more time together outside their busy study schedules, Vismi and Blake now host Bevimble's large social groups together!
